  • JobNow: Live, anytime, anywhere job assistance, including up-to-date nation-wide and local job search engines, professional resume critique and proven interview techniques.
  • GCFLearnFree.org: GCFLearnFree.org creates and provides quality, innovative online learning opportunities to anyone who wants to improve the technology, literacy and math skills needed to be successful in both work and life.
  • Computer Classes: A regular series of free computer classes are offered at the downtown library throughout the year, including resume writing and job search assistance. See our event calendar for details.

  • Iowa Workforce Development: Get assistance with unemployment insurance, job information, resume help, typing tutorials, job placement assistance and much more.
  • IowaJobs: Search for jobs posted through Iowa Workforce Development.
  • CareerOneStop: Employment information and inspiration source including information on career centers, finding new occupations, and Veterans reemployment. 
  • Promise Jobs: Promoting Independince and Self-Sufficiency Through Employment Job Opportunities and Basic Skills; Iowa's welfare reform program designed to assist Family Investment Program (FIP) recipients to become self sufficient.
  • Bureau of Refugee Services: Employment services designed to enable refugees to obtain employment and improve their employability or work skills.
  • VetSuccess: Vocational rehabilitation and employment program through the US Department of Veterans Affairs. Veterans with service-connected disabilities can get assistance with vocational counseling, job training, resume development, and supportive rehabilitation services including case management, counseling and medical referrals.
